Religious Studies

Religious Studies is a vibrant and relevant subject through which we celebrate and explore the multi-faith community of Colet Court.

A range of learning opportunities are practised including individual research, paired work, group project work and peer-learning. Ethical and philosophical issues also form an integral part of teaching.

RS is enhanced through visits and guest speakers.

In addition, boys enjoy access to use of ICT, on-line resources and religious artefacts. The rich Religious Studies experience is further enhanced through visits, guest speakers and multi-media presentations.

Religious Studies aims to develop close cross-curricular links through the study of religious literature, music and art. Knowledge and understanding is assessed as boys mature in their ability to describe, evaluate and analyse. Discussion and critical thinking are a vital part of this process. Key values of tolerance and mutual respect are built upon as boys reflect on their own experience and empathise with the experiences and identities of others.
