Joining at 7+
With individual attention and small class sizes, boys joining us at 7+ soon feel at ease and quickly make new friends.
Entry
Boys may be registered for Colet Court from their fourth birthday. For entry at 7+, a boy's seventh birthday must fall on or before 31 August in his year of entry. There are about thirty-eight places available at 7+.

Selection procedure
Candidates are invited to Colet Court to sit tests in English, Mathematics and Reasoning. The Reasoning test results are weighted according to age. Unfortunately we are not able to send out past papers. An age appropriate suggested reading list and a maths syllabus are available. Boys who perform well in the written tests are invited back for a short interview and group assessment tasks. At the same time, parents also have the opportunity to meet with the Headmaster. The interviews take place during the two weeks following the tests, enabling boys to know their results within a fortnight.
Important dates
The closing date for registration for entry in September 2014 is 4pm on Friday 11 October 2013. Parents of registered candidates will be sent an exam application form and an invitation to Open Morning. For parents who have registered their son sufficiently early, this mailing will be sent in the summer of the year prior to entry. Parents who register nearer to the deadline will receive the exam application form and invitation in October.
The closing date for receipt of exam application forms is 31 October 2013. Please note that there can be no exceptions made for late applications, including forms lost in the post.
For entry in 2014 the examination for 7+ candidates will be held on Friday 17 January 2014.
Fees
The Colet Court fee per term (including lunch) is £5,243 (Sept 2012). Means-tested fee assistance is available to all those who are offered a place. The Governors make some remission of fees when there are three or more children of one family at the Schools of the Foundation. Formal application, in writing, must be made by the parent.
