Young Geographer of the Year

Many congratulations to Manan Pant. His recent entry to the Young Geographer of the Year competition was selected as one of three Highly Commended entries in the 9-11 years category. This is particularly pleasing because this year’s competition was of a very high standard with hundreds of entries. Manan was presented with his award at a ceremony on 18 November at the Royal Geographical Society (with Institute of British Geographers). The awards were presented by Michael Palin CBE, president of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). Manan's account of his day can be read here.
